From arrival to departure (3 days) the staff have been excellent, even when I arrived back early, they always were on hand to ask if everything was okay, and gave complimentary cookies and coffee. Would highly recommend to anyone.
A friendly Yorkshire welcome greets guests here which is a good start.
I've stayed in several Holiday Inns in Florida on business and this beats them all.
Good clean room with all you need for a short stay. I'm always tempted to go full English breakfast when away from home and I can say that the ingredients are top end.
We will definitely return next time we visit York.
The staff here is super helpful and really made us feel welcome. Chris the manager sets the tone. We needed some adapters for our electronics and he spent a lot of time testing out adapters. Then I mentioned having trouble with the GPS and he even went out to the car to try and figure out what was wrong. We have found that in Yorkshire the people are extremely friendly and helpful and this hotel was too. Whenever I asked for anything, like trouble with heating, or opening the windows, the staff was up within minutes. Chris the manager even managed to get us one of the larger rooms, and worked out the best possible rate. Would recommend this hotel highly.
Stayed here with a group of friends on a stag weekend which tied in with York Races. Hotel clean, breakfast very good choice and all nice and fresh. Spoke to the manager complimented him on the excellent staff. Even great to see the Manager ‘hands on’ during busy periods. Would 100% say here again.
Stayed over night whilst in York. Nice friendly staff, room warm and nice and clean. Had breakfast in the morning and couldn't complain about anything. This is a really nice place to stay, cannot fault it in any way.
Stayed at the hotel in November as we were visiting family in York. Great stay, easy check in, lovely room and the shower was great! Breakfast was varied and had everything you would want from a buffet. Very pleased and would recommend to others!
The staff were very helpful and informative about the local area. Gave us a print out of the city car parks and park and ride. room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and had quite a lot of choice.
For a very modest price we had a very comfortable room with all amenities. The breakfast was an unexpected delight. The staff were attentive and quality and choice of food a very pleasant surprise. Definitely would stay again and recommend to anyone.
Fantastic little overnight stay, excellent value for money. Breakfast included & children stay free. Great base for all shopping centres in York and surrounding area. The Staff are lovely, helpful & welcoming too.
Nice hotel that is on the outskirts of York but only a few miles into the historic centre. Rooms are clean and bright with good showers and WiFi. I use this hotel when up on business as its good value.
We stayed here on a trip to Castle Howard, which is quite close by. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and given directions to our room and breakfast was explained to us for the following day. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and provided everything we needed. We all had a good nights sleep and the beds were very comfortable with a choice of firm or soft pillows. The WiFi was fine and worked without a problem. We were very impressed with the breakfast in the morning as it is included free. There was plenty of cereal, yoghurts, muffins, bread for toast, croissants, bacon, sausage, beans and scrambled egg as well as a nice drinks machine for the tea and coffee. We would highly recommend staying here and will no doubt book again when we are back in the area. Couldn't ask for more at the price charged.
It is always with slight trepidation that you book in somewhere you are not aware of and have no previous experience off. This was a last minute booking and we took advantage of a reduced rate offer including breakfast.
From the minute we arrived we were made to feel very welcome and directions were given to our room.
The cleanliness was impeccable and the room layout excellent.
Rising from our very comfortable bed we headed down for breakfast which is buffet style. Superb in every respect.
We have stayed in hotels which offer lesser service at a premium price and we would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and look forward to visiting again.
